ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (ATEE)
In 2016/17 the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is launching a 3 semester Master Degree Program in Environmental Engineering in the specialization: Advanced Technologies in Environmental Engineering.
The language of instruction is English. Limited number is 20 students.
The Master's Degree Studies in Advanced Technologies in Environmental Engineering are for foreigners or Poles with a Diploma of the 1st level studies in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining and Geological, Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, Mechanics, Power Industry Engineering, as well as Mechatronics awarded in Poland or elsewhere. It is also possible to apply after graduating for another field of study with the consent of Dean.
The ATEE graduates will obtain knowledge in environmental engineering and experience in environment protection technologies. They will be prepared for solving problems in sustainable development and technology.
ATEE general program
Courses are divided into 3 groups:
- Basic and major courses i.e. Environmental Statistics, Computer Aided Design, Advanced Environmental Chemistry, Modern Materials in Engineering Applications, Safety and Reliability of Engineering Systems, Heat and Mass Transfer Processes Design, Bioprocess Engineering, Environmental Analytics, Data Bases and Advanced GIS.
- Specialization courses are grouped in modules such as: Waste and Water Treatment, Advanced Technologies in Waste Management, Air Protection and Advanced Energy Technologies;
- selective courses: (2 humanities and 3 technical courses to choose from) humanities courses: Sustainable Development for Engineers, Communication and Negotiations in Business, Ethics in Business, Creativity Training and technical courses: Energy Consumption of Industrial Processes, Chemical Reactors Engineering, Mass Exchanger Design, Spatial Planning and Urban Design, Multiphase Flow in Environmental Technology, and Advanced Environmental Metrology.
Job prospects: ATEE graduates are able to design, maintain and operate the systems of air protection, treatment of water and wastewater, waste management, as well as energy and may work in the private sector, industry and governmental administration. The profile of the graduate is suitable for working at universities in research and development institutions.
