On June 6-10, the Opole University of Technology hosted representatives of universities from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America who visited the university as part of the 11th edition of the Erasmus Partnership Conference - EPIC 2022.
Among the guests of the event were not only administrative employees of foreign universities, but also academic teachers who conducted classes for OUTech students from the faculties of Economics and Management, Production Engineering and Logistics, and Physical Education and Physiotherapy.
The main goals of the conference were the international exchange of knowledge and experience, the possibility of using good practices, establishing cooperation with new partners under the Erasmus+ program and setting directions for future cooperation with current partners, as well as acquainting OUTech employees with representatives of partner universities to establish contacts and initiate joint research.
During the event, International Relations Office presented the offer of the Opole University of Technology and introduced the participants to the Polish language and regional traditions, including culinary ones.
The program of the event also included thematic workshops. The panel "Succeeding in international student recruitment with content marketing" was conducted by a special guest, Herwig Dämon from the Swiss University of St. Gallen. The workshop "Movement as a medicine - Move well. Live well" was prepared by Anna Rutkowska and Sebastian Rutkowski from the Department of Physiotherapy. Daria Hołodnik (Department of Tourism and Recreation) took participants on a virtual tour of Polish and Opole vineyards as part of the "Wine tourism in Poland" event.
Additionally, the guests participated in a Polish language course organized by the director of the Language Center Magdalena Dolińska. The Brainstorm session focused on the 4 main priorities of the new Erasmus+ program - Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Transformation, Environment and Climate Change, Democratic Participation, Shared Values and Civic Engagement.
