From January 15th to 17th, 2024, Opole University of Technology hosted delegations from several foreign universities affiliated with the KreativEU consortium. The consortium's activities focus on cooperation to implement a competitive and attractive educational model aimed at strengthening European cohesion by supporting diversity.

KreativEU recognizes the inseparable connections between tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as the intertwined nature of local and national traditions, crafts, cultural practices, and folklore.

Under the agreement concluded on January 15th, eleven European Higher Education Institutions committed to long-term institutional, structural, and strategic cooperation to implement an inclusive vision of transforming studies on culture, identity, memory, and heritage for the benefit of society.

It is expected that through the implementation of various academic initiatives, KreativeEU will provide innovative concepts, methods, and solutions to address both current and future challenges, contributing to the building of a sustainable and harmonious future for communities and the environment. The alliance is dedicated to formulating innovative educational and research programs, taking into account elements such as the ecological environment, living space, and digital transformation. The eco-cultural vision created by KreativeEU encompasses not only cultural and ecological interdependence but also digital achievements that will be utilized to improve the accessibility, dissemination, and understanding of cultural heritage.

As part of their stay, consortium members participated in working meetings and study visits showcasing the cultural heritage of the Opole region. They visited, among other places, the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole, the Moszna Castle, as well as the Castle, the Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, and the Church of St. Nicholas located in Brzeg.
