The Erasmus Partnership Conference (EPiC) 2024 Christmas Edition took place from December 2 to December 6 at the Opole University of Technology. The event gathered participants from all over the world, including representatives from higher education institutions, administrative staff, and those responsible for the Erasmus+ program. The conference aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices related to student and staff mobility within the Erasmus+ framework, while also strengthening international collaboration within the academic community. Additionally, this year's event featured a unique Christmas theme, which added a special touch to the overall experience.
Over the course of five days, participants took part in a series of workshops and presentations. The program began on December 2 with an evening welcome meeting at Ostrówek, which allowed participants to establish initial connections in a more informal setting. On December 3, the conference moved to the I Campus of the Opole University of Technology, where the opening session and a lecture on artificial intelligence and its global challenges were held.
The conference continued with presentations from international universities, and participants also had the chance to attend workshops on artificial intelligence, designed to support university administration in implementing modern tools in their daily work.
On December 4, participants had the opportunity to visit various departments of the Opole University of Technology, including the Rector’s Office, the University Library, the European Projects Office, and the Academic Careers Office. In the evening, a guided tour of Opole was organized, allowing guests to explore the city’s historical sites and traditions.
December 5 focused on good practices for supporting and integrating people with disabilities and promoting equality and diversity within international academic environments. Participants also took part in virtual reality workshops, which turned out to be one of the most exciting parts of the program.
The last day of the conference, December 6, was dedicated to creative Christmas workshops, including a "Santa’s Workshop," where participants created their own Christmas crafts. After a day full of activities, the event concluded with a farewell dinner, providing an excellent opportunity to reflect on the conference and strengthen international bonds.
The EPiC 2024 conference was not only an opportunity to deepen knowledge about the Erasmus+ program but also a chance to foster integration within the academic community and strengthen international collaboration. Beyond the enriching workshops, participants enjoyed the festive atmosphere of Opole, which made the event both inspiring and memorable.
